With the aim of promoting holistic health care values for staff, lecturers, and students, Van Lang Sai Gon College organized the workshop “Facial Reflexology and Methods for Enhancing Mental Well-Being”, featuring the participation of many reputable experts in the fields of medicine, martial arts, and reading culture.

The workshop was jointly organized by the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations, the Faculty of Beauty Care, and the Office of Admissions and Student Affairs, attracting strong interest and active participation from a large number of faculty members, lecturers, and students of the College.
An Academic Space Connecting Practical Experience
The workshop took place in a formal yet warm atmosphere, featuring welcoming activities, a book exhibition, and beauty care demonstrations presented by the Faculty of Beauty Care. These opening highlights reflected the spirit of connection between academic knowledge, professional practice, and mental health care within a modern educational environment.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Truong Van Hung – President of Van Lang Sai Gon College, emphasized the important role of mental health care in learning and working processes, while reaffirming the College’s educational orientation toward humanistic values and the comprehensive development of individuals.

Exploring the Essence of Facial Reflexology – A Vietnamese Medical Heritage
At the workshop, Professor Bui Quoc Chau – Founder of Facial Reflexology (Dien Chan) and Cybernetic Therapy, delivered an in-depth presentation on Facial Reflexology as a valuable essence of Vietnamese medicine. Through his sharing, participants gained a clearer understanding of the principles, practical applications, and daily self-care potential of this method.
Beyond theoretical knowledge, attendees were also able to directly observe and experience practical Facial Reflexology techniques under the guidance of the Professor and his assistant team, enabling a more vivid and intuitive approach to the therapy.
A Multidimensional Talkshow on Health, Culture, and Mental Well-Being
A key highlight of the program was the thematic talkshow, where experts shared multidimensional perspectives on physical health, mental well-being, and cultural life in the modern context.
Professor Bui Quoc Chau analyzed Facial Reflexology as an “art of touching the face,” while also evaluating current trends among young people in approaching self-healing methods and mental health care.

Mr. Pham Dinh Phong – Director of the Institute for Research, Development, and Promotion of Vietnamese Martial Arts, offered profound insights into the relationship between physical training and mental discipline in martial arts, as well as methods of emotional control through breathing and movement.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Cu – Representative of the Vietnam Publishing Association, approached mental well-being from the perspective of reading culture, affirming the role of books as a form of mental therapy and providing suggestions to help young people maintain inner strength and a sense of peace in daily life.

The interactive Q&A session took place in an engaging and dynamic manner, creating opportunities for students to directly exchange ideas, ask questions, and gain knowledge from the experts.

Spreading Educational Values and Awareness of Mental Health Care
The workshop concluded in a formal atmosphere with a commemorative photo session involving the Organizing Committee, experts, guests, and representatives of the College. The program not only provided valuable professional knowledge but also contributed to raising awareness of mental health care—an increasingly important factor in today’s learning and working environments.

Through this workshop, Van Lang Sai Gon College continues to affirm its humanistic educational orientation, emphasizing comprehensive human development and the integration of academic knowledge with cultural values and community health.
