At the “Junior MC Talent Search” program – a large-scale annual event attracting nearly 500 young contestants from Southern Vietnam – students of the Beauty Care major at Van Lang Saigon College (VLSC) directly participated in providing hair styling and makeup support for the contestants in a professional event environment that required high technical standards, professional demeanor, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

The activity was conducted within the framework of practical training and career-experience cooperation between the College and the Program Organizing Committee, creating opportunities for students to work in real-life settings, gain exposure to professional event operations, and meet the stringent standards of stage beauty services.
Within a three-hour timeframe, each student was responsible for an average of five models, simultaneously performing both hair styling and makeup according to a tight and continuous schedule. Requirements regarding aesthetics, age appropriateness for children, stage style, as well as safety and neatness were given top priority. This was considered a true “real-world assessment,” where professional skills, the ability to work under high pressure, discipline, and professional conduct were fully tested and demonstrated.

According to representatives of the Organizing Committee, VLSC students clearly demonstrated professionalism in their demeanor, quick and precise execution, solid technical skills, and flexible coordination in crowded, high-intensity working environments. Beyond successfully completing assigned tasks, the students also showed a strong sense of responsibility and a serious attitude toward their profession—key factors for adapting to and developing sustainably in the real labor market.

The Beauty Care program at Van Lang Saigon College is developed with a focus on standardizing professional skills, closely aligning training with practical industry needs, and expanding career value for learners.
In terms of facilities, the College has invested in a system of classrooms and practice rooms that meet enterprise standards, serving both domestic training requirements and international integration. Theoretical classrooms are designed according to European standards, ensuring a scientific, modern learning environment that facilitates access to foundational knowledge. Practical training areas are built following the Korean Beauty Academy model, fully equipped with machinery and tools, and arranged to closely simulate real working environments at professional spas and aesthetic centers.
The program is implemented under a dual-standard training model, combining medical standards with international standards. Students are equipped not only with solid professional knowledge to ensure safety in beauty techniques, but also with exposure to trends, processes, and professional standards widely applied in the global market. Upon graduation, students receive an official qualification with global value, enabling them to work in various positions within the modern beauty industry.

One of the program’s outstanding features is that practical training accounts for up to 90% of the total study duration. Through continuous skill practice, in-depth practical sessions, and real professional activities, students are able to master techniques, keep pace with industry trends, and develop a professional working style from an early stage of their studies.
In addition, students have the opportunity to study and work directly with leading industry experts, including specialist doctors, national artisans, international competition champions, Korean experts, and CEOs of reputable aesthetic centers. Learning alongside professionals actively working in the field allows students to access real-world professional standards, accumulate experience, and clearly understand labor market requirements throughout their training.
The College also expands international opportunities for students through internship programs, study-abroad transfer pathways, and exchange semesters with tuition fees suitable for Vietnamese conditions. This is an important advantage that helps students enhance their integration capacity and broaden career opportunities after graduation.
Regarding tuition fees, the Beauty Care program is offered at an accessible cost of approximately VND 2,500,000 per month, along with various student support policies. In addition, the College provides a wide range of scholarship programs with values of up to 100% of tuition fees, enabling students to study with peace of mind and pursue long-term career development.
Notably, Van Lang Saigon College commits to providing 100% job opportunities for students after graduation. Through its network of business partners, beauty establishments, and career connection systems, students receive support in job placement, gradually affirm their professional skills, increase income, and build their position within the industry.
For VLSC students, participating in large-scale events such as the “Junior MC Talent Search” is not merely an experiential activity, but an opportunity to be placed in the real role of a professional practitioner while still in school. From real pressure and professional requirements to recognition from organizing units, all of these experiences become valuable assets, helping students gain greater confidence when entering professional working environments in the future.

Through practice-oriented activities, Van Lang Saigon College continues to realize its learner-centered training orientation, where students not only learn to know, but learn to do—being entrusted with real tasks, earning trust, and being recognized through genuine professional competence.
