At Van Lang Sai Gon College (VLSC) — one of the best colleges in Ho Chi Minh City — the holistic development of both intellect and life skills has always been a core value. Students are not only equipped with academic knowledge but also with essential skills to protect themselves and support their communities in emergency situations. 

With this objective, the “Drowning Recognition and Prevention” Workshop was organized, providing a highly valuable learning session focused on imparting knowledge, honing survival skills, and raising awareness of personal safety. This practical activity is designed to ensure VLSC students are best prepared for unexpected incidents, particularly drowning accidents.

Collaboration with leading experts: The workshop was honored to collaborate with the Survival Skills Vietnam (SSVN) Social Enterprise. SSVN is a pioneering organization in Vietnam in the field of international-standard First Aid education, driven by the profound mission of empowering Vietnamese people to proactively prevent and minimize casualties through correct and modern skills.

Practical Content and High-Value Takeaways for Students

The workshop featured highly practical activities, helping students grasp essential knowledge and techniques:

Swiftly identifying the signs of a person in distress from drowning.

An in-depth Q&A session, where students received answers to their queries and updated their knowledge with highly useful and accurate survival information.
