The “Japanese-Standard Hair Styling Techniques” session, organized by Van Lang Saigon College – one of the leading colleges, was not merely a professional knowledge-sharing event, but also an academic space that enabled students to approach the Japanese professional mindset, where each hairstyle is created based on precise techniques, scientific structure, and long-term suitability for clients.
The workshop welcomed three international experts from Japan, all of whom are influential figures in hair industry training and development across Asia.
Mr. Makoto Yamada, salon chain owner and hair industry business consultant, offered strategic insights into sustainable career development.
Mr. Daisuke Kasai, a technical trainer with over 12 years of experience in Singapore and Vietnam, provided in-depth knowledge of form-building techniques and international professional standards.
Mr. Tsubasa Inubashiri, a hairstylist for numerous artists in Vietnam, known for his high-end and highly personalized style, helped students better understand the connection between technical mastery and design thinking.
Through the session, students systematically explored the core elements of modern hairstyling, from precise form-building techniques and facial analysis methods to design thinking that creates hairstyles aligned with each client’s personality, lifestyle, and long-term needs. More importantly, the program emphasized that hairstyling is not a short-term job, but a clearly oriented career journey with a structured skill development pathway and strong potential for sustainable growth in the future.
Beauty Care Major at VLSC – A solid foundation for professional beauty experts
Van Lang Saigon College has invested heavily in modern facilities built to Korean standards and enterprise-oriented models, combining European-standard theoretical classrooms with practical training spaces designed according to the Korean Beauty Academy model. All equipment is arranged to closely reflect real working environments, enabling students to quickly familiarize themselves with and adapt to professional requirements while still in school.

At VLSC, practical training accounts for up to 90% of the total curriculum. Students continuously refine their skills by directly performing professional techniques under close guidance from instructors, thereby developing strong competencies, professional reflexes, and the ability to quickly update new trends through a well-structured learning pathway.
The faculty consists of medical specialists, national artisans, international competition champions, Korean experts, and leaders of reputable aesthetic centers. Learning and working directly with industry practitioners enables students not only to sharpen their skills but also to gain a deep understanding of professional mindset, industry culture, and real-world labor market demands.
In addition, VLSC expands international integration opportunities through internships, exchange semesters, and study-abroad transfer programs with tuition fees aligned to Vietnamese learning conditions. Tuition fees are set at an affordable level, averaging approximately VND 2,500,000 per month, accompanied by various financial support policies and diverse scholarships valued up to 100% of tuition fees for different student groups.
